Participation Council
The Participation Council (PC) is an official advisory body that allows parents and teachers to contribute their thoughts and make decisions about matters concerning the school. The PC consists of three parent members and three team members. The powers of the PC are laid down in the participation regulations. The PC of Het Palet is actively involved with the school. The PC contributes to the development of policy and current affairs concerning the school, such as holiday planning, the school plan, the school guide, personnel matters, the school budget, etc. Where necessary, the PC advises the principal and reviews policy and policy documents. The PC meets approximately 6 times a year. A member of the PC from both the staff and parent sections can take a seat in the Joint Participation Council (JPC).
The JPC includes representatives from the thirteen schools of the Amstelland Education Group. The JPC deals with policy matters that are of joint interest to all schools and communicates directly with the board about these matters. The independent chairperson of the JPC participates in board meetings as an additional member. The official regulations of the JPC apply to the JPC. The JPC meets approximately 4 times a year.
